TFT Set 18 Invoker Guide: Invoker Ahri and Invoker Emblem

TFT Set 18 Invoker Guide: Invoker Ahri and Invoker Emblem

@tft=set18:trait:DA_18_Invoker@ is the mana trait of Set 18. It gives your whole team Mana Regen, and your Invokers get more.

In Invoker Ahri, @tft=set18:unit:DA_18_Ahri@ isn't an Invoker. She gets the trait from the @tft=set18:item:DA_18_EmblemInvoker@.

Quick answer. @tft=set18:trait:DA_18_Invoker@ gives your team Mana Regen and gives your Invokers more.

At 2 that's 1 for the team and 3 for Invokers, at 3 it's 1 and 4, at 4 it's 2 and 6, and at 5 it's 2 and 8. The five Invokers are @tft=set18:unit:DA_18_Sentry@, @tft=set18:unit:DA_18_Teemo@, @tft=set18:unit:DA_KogMaw18_AD@, @tft=set18:unit:DA_18_Morgana@ and @tft=set18:unit:DA_Sentinel18@.

Build the @tft=set18:item:DA_18_EmblemInvoker@ from a @tft=set18:item:DA_Component_FryingPan@ and a @tft=set18:item:DA_Component_TearOfTheGoddess@, and give it to @tft=set18:unit:DA_18_Ahri@. Invoker Riftbeast Ahri is the stronger of the two Ahri boards on patch 18.5.

How does Invoker work in TFT?

@tft=set18:trait:DA_18_Invoker@ is a class with breakpoints at 2, 3, 4 and 5. Every breakpoint gives Mana Regen to your whole team, and a bigger amount to your Invokers.

That's why a non-Invoker carry wants the emblem. With it, she gets the Invoker amount instead of the team amount. At 4 that's 6 Mana Regen instead of 2.

Patch 18.3 cut the Invoker amount at 5 from 9 to 8.

Invoker Ahri

Both Ahri boards share the same core. @tft=set18:unit:DA_18_Sentry@, @tft=set18:unit:DA_18_Morgana@ and @tft=set18:unit:DA_Sentinel18@ give you 3 @tft=set18:trait:DA_18_Invoker@, Pebbles, @tft=set18:unit:DA_Krug18@ and Sentinel give you 3 @tft=set18:trait:DA_Riftbeast18@, and @tft=set18:unit:DA_18_Sett@ holds the front line. The difference is what fills the rest and when you level.

The Blossom version is far more popular. It shows up in about 23% of games, but it places a full spot worse and our data tags it as overrated. The Riftbeast version takes the same units to level 9 and adds 5-costs, and that's the one to play. The rest of this section covers it.

@tft=set18:unit:DA_18_Ahri@ is the carry, and @tft=set18:unit:DA_18_Morgana@ is the second caster. At level 9 the board adds @tft=set18:unit:DA_18_Alune@, @tft=set18:unit:DA_18_Ashe@ and @tft=set18:unit:DA_Taric18@.

When to play it

The board lives on a 2-star @tft=set18:unit:DA_18_Ahri@. Without one it averages 4.94, with one 3.12. A 2-star @tft=set18:unit:DA_18_Morgana@ does almost as much, 4.68 to 3.08, so roll at 8 until you hit one of them before you push to 9.

Take @tft=set18:item:DA_Component_GiantsBelt@ first. The final board uses six, in @tft=set18:item:DA_StrikersFlail@, @tft=set18:item:DA_Morellonomicon@ and two @tft=set18:item:DA_WarmogsArmor@. @tft=set18:item:DA_Component_NeedlesslyLargeRod@ comes next with four, all in Ahri's and Morgana's items.

Leveling plan

Go to 8 at 4-2 and roll there. The most common opener is @tft=set18:unit:DA_18_Rakan@, @tft=set18:unit:DA_18_Yorick@, @tft=set18:unit:DA_18_Yunara@ and @tft=set18:unit:DA_Karma18@.

Items
  • Ahri: @tft=set18:item:DA_JeweledGauntlet@, @tft=set18:item:DA_SpearOfShojin@, @tft=set18:item:DA_StrikersFlail@.

  • Morgana: @tft=set18:item:DA_Morellonomicon@, @tft=set18:item:DA_RabadonsDeathcap@, @tft=set18:item:DA_VoidStaff@.

  • Sett: @tft=set18:item:DA_GargoyleStoneplate@, @tft=set18:item:DA_GargoyleStoneplate@, @tft=set18:item:DA_WarmogsArmor@.

  • Sentinel: @tft=set18:item:DA_BrambleVest@, @tft=set18:item:DA_DragonsClaw@, @tft=set18:item:DA_WarmogsArmor@.

Flex and substitutions

Of the three level 9 adds, take @tft=set18:unit:DA_18_Ashe@ first, since she makes 3 @tft=set18:trait:DA_18_Blossom@ with @tft=set18:unit:DA_18_Ahri@ and @tft=set18:unit:DA_18_Sett@. @tft=set18:unit:DA_18_Alune@ and @tft=set18:unit:DA_Taric18@ fill the last two slots. Keep @tft=set18:unit:DA_18_Sentry@ even though he's a 1-cost. He's an @tft=set18:trait:DA_18_Invoker@ and a @tft=set18:trait:DA_Riftbeast18@, so selling him drops the board from 4 Invokers to 3 and costs a Riftbeast.

Vanguard Invoker Morgana

This is the board that plays @tft=set18:unit:DA_18_Morgana@ as an @tft=set18:trait:DA_18_Invoker@ carry. At level 8 it runs 4 Invokers in @tft=set18:unit:DA_18_Sentry@, @tft=set18:unit:DA_KogMaw18_AD@, Morgana and @tft=set18:unit:DA_Sentinel18@, and 4 @tft=set18:trait:DA_18_Vanguard@ in @tft=set18:unit:DA_18_Diana@, @tft=set18:unit:DA_18_Hecarim@, Sentinel and @tft=set18:unit:DA_Taric18@. @tft=set18:unit:DA_Brambleback18@ is the second carry. At level 9, @tft=set18:unit:DA_18_Alune@ with the @tft=set18:item:DA_18_EmblemInvoker@ makes 5 Invokers.

It's a niche pick. It shows up in about 1% of games and averages 4.29 with a 53% top 4 rate, which puts it at Tier 3 on patch 18.5. It's the board for you when Morgana and Sentinel come early and the Ahri boards are contested. A 2-star Sentinel takes it from 5.42 to 3.56 on average, and a 2-star Morgana from 5.65 to 3.90.

Level to 8 at 4-1 and do your rolling there. Belts, Rods and Chain Vests are the components to take.

  • Morgana: @tft=set18:item:DA_Morellonomicon@, @tft=set18:item:DA_RabadonsDeathcap@, @tft=set18:item:DA_VoidStaff@.

  • Brambleback: @tft=set18:item:DA_EdgeOfNight@, @tft=set18:item:DA_GiantSlayer@, @tft=set18:item:DA_Quicksilver@.

  • Sentinel: @tft=set18:item:DA_GargoyleStoneplate@, @tft=set18:item:DA_ProtectorsVow@, @tft=set18:item:DA_WarmogsArmor@.

  • Alune: @tft=set18:item:DA_18_EmblemInvoker@, @tft=set18:item:DA_JeweledGauntlet@, @tft=set18:item:DA_StrikersFlail@.

How to make the Invoker Emblem

The @tft=set18:item:DA_18_EmblemInvoker@ builds from a @tft=set18:item:DA_Component_FryingPan@ and a @tft=set18:item:DA_Component_TearOfTheGoddess@. It gives its holder the @tft=set18:trait:DA_18_Invoker@ trait. When the holder casts, they also gain Ability Power equal to 8% of the Mana they spent.

Patch 18.2 cut that bonus from 10% to 8%.

Who should hold the Invoker Emblem?

It pays off most where it reaches a new breakpoint.

  • @tft=set18:unit:DA_18_Ahri@. She holds it in both Invoker Ahri boards, on more than 80% of the boards that build it. It takes those boards from 3 Invokers to 4.

  • @tft=set18:unit:DA_18_Alune@. In Vanguard Alune and Vanguard Coven Morgana she's one of the two carries, and it takes 2 Invokers to 3. In Vanguard Invoker Morgana she holds it at level 9, where it makes 5.
